Questions - Connor Woods

Liaising back and forth with the client greatly helped me in all areas of building the game and delivering the final product. Effective questioning can be the difference between a mediocre game, and a great game. I asked simple but effective questions about how the game should look and feel, and what style of game should be implemented. I also asked questions around the background of the company to help give me a better understanding of the client’s needs.

For example I asked; "What style of game will represent your company best?" to which he responded with a very informative answer - He wanted a T.E.K.K.E.N styled game that was simplistic and easy to play.

However with some of the questions asked I received some unhelpful information that was either repeated or was too similar to my last questions, examples of these were "What should the game look like?" and "What specific colours are to be shown?" These questions are too similar and basically gave me the same answer, with that being said I found that the majority of information received was very useful and informative.

As a result of my effective questioning, I was able to get a great understanding of the requirements for the game to be built for my client. In turn, I was able to easily develop and deliver a game that closely replicates the classic street fighting game known as T.E.K.K.E.N.
